Personal Trainer Says 'No' To Fitness Equipment
Certified Personal Trainer and gold medal winning martial artist, Janan Ferdosi, makes a bold entrance into the world of fitness with his new minimal equipment approach.


    BALTIMORE, MD, November 12, 2008 /Health and Fitness News Articles/ -- Although new to the personal training scene, 22 year old Janan Ferdosi is making quite a stir in the Baltimore fitness community. Ferdosi is NASM (National Academy of Sports and Medicine) certified and encouraging fitness through a series of exercises designed to promote strength, flexibility and weight loss in a more natural and efficient way. "I try to teach my clients techniques that they can take with them anywhere rather than being confined to a gym or home gym. Free-style weights are sometimes needed in addition to that but through this method they won't have to rely on them. It's much more cost effective and practical."

His clients are impressed by the challenging workouts he provides with the focus on Isometrics, resistance training, Dynamic workouts, and Plyometrics rather than traditional machines. This comes from an extensive martial arts background with 12 years experience in Kung Fu and Thai Boxing. In 2005, he was internationally recognized for his gold medal winning Kung Fu form in the USA national Kung fu/Wushu championship tournament held in Connecticut. Ferdosi is also an aspiring actor and fight choreographer and has both appeared and choreographed in the film "One-Eyed Horse" which premiered this past summer in theatres. He worked one-on-one for several months with the boxers from the film to get them in shape and perfect their movements for the big screen.
